Sink Buying Guide
Sink Buying Guide
Choose a sink by installation, bowl shape, material and the faucet position it needs. This guide helps you compare Atlasty's solid-brass and copper sinks with the faucet and finish that complete your project.
Use the Brass & Copper Fixture Resource Library for related faucet, finish and care guidance.
Vessel or drop-in?
- Vessel sink: sits above the counter and creates a strong focal point. Review vessel sinks and select a faucet tall enough to clear the rim.
- Drop-in sink: rests in a prepared countertop opening with the rim visible. Review drop-in sinks and confirm the cutout dimensions.
Measure the countertop and bowl
Confirm the overall width and depth, the cutout or mounting opening, backsplash clearance and the position of the drain. For a vessel sink, include the bowl height when choosing faucet height. Leave enough landing space for soap, accessories and cleaning.
Match the faucet
Choose a faucet whose spout reach lands over the drain or usable bowl area. A tall vessel faucet may be needed for an above-counter basin, while a lower profile can suit a drop-in sink. Explore bathroom faucets and kitchen faucets for compatible styles.
Choose a finish and care routine
Coordinate the sink with your faucet and hardware. Compare unlacquered brass, antique copper, polished nickel and oil-rubbed bronze. Use mild soap, water and a soft cloth; avoid abrasive or acidic cleaners. New polished copper, brushed brass and brushed nickel paths can be added here as the range grows.

How do I choose a faucet for a vessel sink?
Measure the bowl height and choose a spout that clears the rim while reaching the usable bowl area. Check the faucet dimensions before ordering.
